Annie Pencil - Chemical Dependency Professional III

Annie began working in the Chemical Dependency field in 2005 at Contact Counseling mostly as an office manager but doing UA's for daily assessments, gathering police reports and criminal histories and editing assessments. In 2008 she began studying at Skagit Community College's chemical dependency program and taking classes to become a chemical dependency professional. In 2009 she began interning at West Coast Counseling and then began working at Sea Mar in 2010 as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.

Before working as a CDP Annie graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and then studied for 3 semesters at the summer institute of Linguistics in Dallas, TX. She then moved to Quebec to study French for a year and a half and then moved to Cameroon, Africa and Chad, Africa for 2 yrs of linguistic work with the Summer Institute of Linguistics.

Annie's hobbies are ballroom dancing, back packing and studying languages. She studied 5 years of German, a year of Russian, 2 years of French and is now learning Spanish. She and her husband enjoy dancing, back packing, travelling and they have 8 adult children between the two of them.
