Charleen Fitzgerald - Clinical Supervisor

Charleen is Clinical Supervisor at the Tacoma Treatment Center. She has been employed in the counseling field for more than twenty years. Prior to working for Sea Mar, Charleen served as Substance Abuse Program Director for the Nisqually Tribe and worked at the Puyallup Tribal Treatment Center as a counselor. She served on the Northwest Indian Counselor Certification Board, taught at N.W. Indian College, and currently teaches part time in the Human Services Program at Clover Park College.

Charleen enjoys working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Her treatment philosophy is that chemical dependency is a disease and treatable and that each individual is to be treated with dignity and respect. She believes in a holistic approach to treatment, treating the whole person in addition to the disease of addiction.

Charleen enjoys dance and is a certified zumba instructor. She has served as a volunteer in her church, for the Tacoma Symphony, and is involved with and supports various health-related community fundraisers.
