She completed her clinical training for her Masters in Social Work at Sound Mental Health’s Child and Family Services and Therapeutic Health Services’ Adult Mental Health Program at the Summit Methadone Clinic. After completing her Masters, Emma worked for three years at Sound Mental Health’s Adult Services in Seattle, providing case management and therapy to individuals seeking support with a wide range of mental health concerns. Over the course of her clinical work, Emma has developed a commitment to working therapeutically with trauma and its emotional and psychological consequences. Her therapeutic approach pulls from a variety of trauma-focused treatment modalities, and focuses on promoting each individual’s safety and symptom stabilization. She believes deeply in the innate human capacity for resilience, creativity and the overcoming of adversity.

Emma enjoys spending her leisure time exploring the wild and beautiful mountains of Washington, singing traditional Irish music, and being with friends and family.
