Graham Murtaugh began practicing mental health therapy at Sea Mar Tacoma Behavioral Health in July of 2018.
Graham, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, has experience working with a variety of individuals and issue areas, including anxiety, depression and trauma. Most recently, he worked with individuals connected to the justice system as they re-entered the community. Graham's clinical interests focs on times of transition and liminality and healthy masculinity.
Graham's therapeutic style combines relational psychodynamics, narrative theory (storytelling), mindful awareness, evidence-based modalities and a dash of humor. Graham believes therapy is a space where mind, body and spirit interact to increase self-awareness and self-worth while challenging unhelpful or damaging beliefs and behaviors. Graham believes every individual is capable of growth, change and finding greater purpose.
Graham is a native of the Pacific Northwest who enjoys baking bread, reading and writing poetry and getting lost in Point Defiance Park.
