Dr. Amira Esseghir began practicing dentistry at Sea Mar in 2017. Before practicing at Sea Mar, Dr. Esseghir completed her undergraduate work in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. She graduated with highest honors from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2013. She then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2017. At the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Esseghir was on the Dean’s List, and president of their chapter of the Prosthodontics Honors Society.

Dr. Esseghir is a recipient of a National Health Service Corps Scholarship. She believes in being an advocate for community healthcare. During her undergraduate schooling, her research focused on immunology at the Child Health Institute of New Jersey and developing interactive devices for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While in dental school, Dr. Esseghir organized dental screening and oral health fairs for underserved populations in her local community.

Since moving to the west coast, Dr. Esseghir has grown fond of the beautiful nature that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking, visiting national parks, traveling, and reading.
