Dr. Mark L. Brooks is a dentist at Bellingham Dental Clinic, and has worked for Sea Mar Community Health Centers since 1996.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Brooks received undergraduate degrees from Dixie State College in St. George, Utah and Utah State University. He received his dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia. After completion of dental school, he completed a one-year, hospital-based residency program at the University of Utah Medical Center. He then served in the Indian Health Service where he was stationed for two years on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation in Owyhee, Nevada.

Dr. Brooks subsequently joined Sea Mar, serving at the Nooksack clinic, the old Bellingham clinic, and currently at the new Bellingham Dental Clinic. Dr. Brooks takes pride in being involved in Bellingham Dental's expansion from a small single-provider office to a busy multi-provider clinic. Dr. Brooks enjoys the association with the excellent providers and staff that make up the Bellingham dental team.

In the community, Dr Brooks is active in the Whatcom County Oral Health Coalition. He helped develop a program to increase medical providers awareness of oral health in young children, and served on the committee that developed the educational pamphlet, 10 Simple Steps to a Super Smile.

In his free time, Dr. Brooks and his family enjoy training in Kempo Karate. He also enjoys many outdoor activities, including snow skiing, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and the many other outdoor experiences that are available in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
