About the Job

 

Sea Mar seeks an HR Training Specialist in Seattle, WA. The HR Training Specialist is responsible for Sea Mar's web-based training resources and tracking employee compliance with required trainings. S/he maintains training plans with various departments, maintains the LMS system, and ensures compliance with clinical competency testing. The HR Training Specialist works across all Sea Mar departments to ensure training resources are available for all staff.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities are:

 

  • Maintains training curricula and training plans.

  • Manages LMS content, users, and licenses. This includes ensure new employees are added to LMS, and managing departmental and staffing changes.

 

  • Collaborates with various departments to define and prioritize organizational training needs.

  • Collaborates with the QI and HR departments to identify required trainings and schedules and develops training plans.

  • Tracks employee compliance for required trainings.

  • Coordinates training reservations, training content, and materials.

  • Schedules all trainings including webinars, classroom trainings and coordinates meeting spaces for these as appropriate.

  • Provides technical assistance to staff in the development of their training content for use in LMS, including presentation tools and recordings.

  • Maintains instruments for evaluating comprehension and competency to maintain currency and accuracy.

  • Tracks and ensures compliance with probationary period and annual clinical competency testing.

  • Serves as a trainer as necessary.

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

     

 

 
Required Qualifications

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

  • Two to four years’ experience coordinating training, preferably in a clinical or other healthcare setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare training materials and reports related to training outcomes.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
