About the Job

Full-time position available for the Chemical Dependency Program in Tacoma. The CDP III is responsible for organizing and providing direct counseling services to patients. The counselor is the agent for providing services to patients whether on a one-to-one or group basis, performs assessment/evaluation, and admissions. Services are given to adults and their families. These clients have a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder and may also have emerging mental health problems. Applicants are expected to subscribe to the disease concept of substance use disorder with the belief that total abstinence is required for ongoing recovery from alcoholism and other drug addictions.

Required Qualifications

 Must possess the required college certificate that qualifies them to be a CDP. Must have a Chemical Dependency Professional license from the Department of Health. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required. Computer skills are a must and experience working in the field is a must.
