Dr. Lara Leah Hodel began practicing at Sea Mar's Burien Medical Clinic in September 2012. Before joining Sea Mar, Dr. Hodel worked since 2006 for Swedish Medical Center as staff physician and assistant medical director for addiction recovery services, and she served as a preceptor.
Dr. Hodel earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington in 1997. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California, where she graduated magna cum laude in international relations and economics.
In 1997, Dr. Hodel received an "excellence in research" award from the American Federation for Clinical Research, and she was recognized for outstanding contributions to the curriculum at Swedish Family Medicine in 2005.
In her spare time, Dr. Hodel enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, Tai Chi, writing and traveling.
