Jennifer Mae Goaring, CNM began practice at SeaMar Vancouver Women’s Health Center December 2014. Before beginning her practice with SeaMar she had been working in Women’s Health as a labor & delivery nurse for the previous 13 years. Part of the time also included work as a public health nurse for Clark County, Washington as part of the Maternity Support Services program.

Jennifer knew before graduating from Georgetown University with her MSN in Nurse-Midwifery / Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner that she would want to continue to serve the population in Clark County, Washington and in particular was drawn to the diversity of the SeaMar patient population. She has been part of the Legacy Salmon Creek hospital staff since it’s opening in 2005 and was excited about the opportunity to continue on as part of the Medical Staff in her role as a midwife for SeaMar. She really enjoys working with women who are seeking out birth control options or advice, annual well women exams, have questions about their cycles and, of course, for prenatal care, deliveries and post-partum care. She is still forever in awe of the strength & ability that birthing women possess and the grateful for the gift of being able to be present to guide and encourage them along.

Jennifer is a member of AWHONN and ACNM. She is a board certified nurse-midwife and Washington state licensed ARNP. She is a member of both the Washington and Oregon ACNM state chapters. Her BSN in nursing was from St. Louis University in 2001 and her first degree was a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1996.

Jennifer is a mother to 4 boys. She enjoys watching them play soccer and run cross country, bicycling, hiking and swimming with her kids in the summer.
