Julio Jiménez, MD

Dr. Julio Jiménez began practicing medicine at the Seattle Medical Clinic in August 2000. He earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Nacionál de Trujillo, Perú, and completed his family-medicine residency program at Providence Hospital in Seattle in June 2000.

Dr. Jiménez is a firm believer in holistic medicine, patient-centered care, and health care access for all.  He is strongly committed to providing health care services to under-served populations in our community. 

Born and raised in Perú, Dr. Jiménez understands the difficulties and struggles that immigrants face in adapting to the complexities and challenges of U.S. society.  He believes that social justice begins with each of us, in our souls, and it is achieved only when we find balance between spiritual and material things.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Jimenez participates actively in his church, enjoys soccer, traveling, and the outdoors.

Dr. Miguel Jiménez has been practicing medicine for Sea Mar Community Health Centers since he graduated from Universidad Nacionál de Trujillo, Perú, in 1989. He completed his family-medicine residency program at Cook County Hospital in Chicago in 2004.

Dr. Jiménez’s philosophy of care is to provide excellent care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay.  He is thankful for the opportunity to provide care for under-served communities, including Latinos who often require Spanish-speaking providers. In addition to serving as a full-time attending physician at Seattle Medical Clinic, he also maintains a patient panel at Sea Mar’s Community Care Center located in South Park in Seattle.

Dr. Jiménez is currently participating in a Family Medicine Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of Washington as part of his academic goals.  In pursuit of excellence in teaching family medicine to new generations of young doctors and medical students, he also joined the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) last year.

Dr. Jiménez enjoys playing classical and folk music on his guitar along with his three very talented brothers, and he is an avid soccer player.

   
   

Travis Jo Cufley, ARNP

Travis Jo Cufley, ARNP, joined the Seattle Medical Clinic and Community Care Center in 2009. She had previously worked in maternity support services at Sea Mar (2007-2009) as a registered nurse. Prior to working at Sea Mar, she graduated from the nurse practitioner program at Pacific Lutheran University in 2009. 

Travis Jo’s philosophy of care is to address each patient’s concerns through effective listening.  She is committed to serving patients using the breadth of her knowledge and resources in order to be successful.  She seeks to develop strong working relationships with patients and colleagues, and also to serve as an effective advocate for primary care and issues of justice within community health and society.

Travis Jo also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Whitman College in 2002, and minored in Spanish.  She has lived in Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Dominican Republic and, most recently, spent two years living and working in Bolivia through the Peace Corps (2003-2005).  She speaks Spanish fluently and has a passion for Latino cultures.

Travis Jo enjoys running with her black lab, traveling to Latin America, hiking, cooking, gardening, home repair, reading and time with family and friends.
