We offer both direct and non-direct service positions. All of our positions are full-time (40 hours per week) and require an 11-month commitment.

Patient Navigator (PN)

The Health Centers specialize in providing primary-care family medicine, preventive health exams, acute care/walk-in visits, minor procedures, and health education to under-resourced populations. The Patient Navigator will work on an inter-professional team of healthcare providers to help patients access appropriate care, establish a medical home, ensure patients’ pre- and post-visit needs are met, and facilitate brief health education encounters. Navigators will also provide translation/interpretation services and coordinate the charity prescription drug assistance program.

Maternal Health Doulas

This position serves as a maternal health Doula within our Maternity Support Services department at Sea Mar CHC. This position will provide pre- and post-labor education and support for clients who want additional support navigating the birthing experience. This position requires flexibility, sensitivity, a willingness to work independently and ability to handle a demanding on-call schedule. Members will receive Birth Skills Doula training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University in Seattle. This position requires the member to have prior maternal health experience and must be bilingual in English and Spanish, no exceptions. To learn more about the role of a doula, visit

Program Coordinators

Location: Seattle/King County
Reach Out and Read, Program Coordinator- 1 position
This position is located in South Park. This position coordinates Sea Mar's Reach Out and Read (ROR) program; a national pediatric literacy program that collaborates with families and medical providers to develop critical early reading skills in children. Providers identify families in need and provide free, culturally-appropriate books and educational information to encourage families to read together. The coordinator monitors and supports the program at 16 Sea Mar clinics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required. There is no direct service component to this position (i.e. no patient/client contact).

Intergenerational Program Coordinator - 1 position
This position is located in South Park and serves at the Sea Mar Care Center, an assisted living facility that includes an Alzheimer’s unit, and the Child Development Center, a bilingual/bicultural center that helps children in building basic and elementary skills. The Intergenerational Program (IGP) Coordinator coordinates the IGP program, a Latino-oriented, family-centered model, that encourages meaningful interaction between the children and residents at the Care Center. This position requires creativity, patience, and an interest in working with elders and children.

Community Engagement Coordinator- 1 position
This position is located in the South Park and coordinates the South Park Youth Soccer Program and the Sea Mar Health Outreach Team. The soccer program is part of Sea Mar’s childhood obesity initiative and serves to offer low cost ways to engage youth in organized sports and combat the high rates of childhood obesity. The Health Outreach Team is comprised of fellow Community HealthCorps members that provide health presentations to partner organizations and agencies. This position will coordinate the calendar events, collaborate with members to offer a wide range of health topics and identify other outreach opportunities in the community. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
