The key to successful fundraising
Two things to remember in successful fundraising: (1) you must have a good cause, and (2) you have to ask.
Regarding the LEAP1% initiative, the question is not whether the cause is good or right. The question is whether we, as a concerned community of adults, will ask our colleagues, business acquaintances, friends, and family members to support the initiative.
We don’t know who will give, but we do know that many will give, if asked. Proof is, after officially launching the fund in March 2011, in less than a month we received new commitments for more than $10,000.
Below, you will find solicitation materials to help you support the LEAP1% Scholarship Fund, including a two-page flyer that explains what LEAP1% donor means, who qualifies for scholarships, how donors will be acknowledged, who will decide on scholarship awards, and corporate and institutional sponsorship options. Please contact us if you have questions about any of the above.
