Haley has been practicing mental health counseling at Sea Mar since February of 2015, shortly after she moved to the Pacific Northwest from Southern California. She began her journey of becoming a counselor by receiving her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Comparative Religion from California State University, Fullerton. She then proceeded by obtaining her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2014 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in February of 2018.

While at Sea Mar, Haley has developed an expertise in treating clients with intense emotional dysregulation through the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has over 2.5 years of experience facilitating DBT Skills Training Groups and over 50 hours of training on the subject matter. Haley currently facilitates two, 24-week DBT Skills Training Groups. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of DBT, both with clients and co-facilitators, and is pursuing a DBT Certification. Haley also has much experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is certified in a CETA, which is a CBT-based approach to treat depression, anxiety, and trauma symptoms.

Haley received Sea Mar's Dedicated Service Award in 2017. She is enthusiastic about treating those with serious mental illnesses, advocating for underserved populations, and creating camaraderie amongst team members at Bellingham Behavioral Health.

In her free time, Haley enjoys sketching, playing card games with friends and family, going on adventures with her dog, taking care of her reptiles, and attending rock concerts.
