Laurel joined Sea Mar's Behavioral Health Clinic in May of 2019 as a Mental Health Therapist. Before practicing at Sea Mar, she worked as a therapist and mental health professional on the Lake Whatcom Center PACT team. Laurel completed a Master of Arts in Counseling at Antioch University Seattle. She interned at Compass Crisis Triage and Lydia Place, where she helped develop the in-home Counseling Program.
Laurel's professional interests include grief and loss, gender roles, sexuality, and relationship, spirituality, life transitions, and somatic approaches to working with PTSD. She has completed Level I training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy: Affect Dysregulation, Survival Defenses, and Traumatic Memory.
Laurel enjoys learning about other cultures, mountain biking, and gardening.
