Luisa Chin began working at Sea Mar Behavioral Health in October 2018. Prior to working at Sea Mar, Luisa completed an internship at a community mental health agency where she worked with adults on a variety of issues primarily related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and career-path decisions. Luisa graduated from Western Washington University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her time at Western Washington, she worked with children and adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities. Luisa received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University in 2018.

Luisa's approach to psychotherapy is drawn from integrative and culturally diverse counseling approaches including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and Narrative Therapy. Luisa believes in building a collaborative and trusting environment for her clients to find balance, learn skills, and grow at their own pace with courage and self-compassion.

In her free time, Luisa enjoys reading, painting rocks, watching shows, and going on walks.
