​ ​​​​ ​ Marelise received her Washington state license while pursuing her Master's Degree in Psychology in 2017. She has been a Chemical Dependency counselor for Sea Mar's Puyallup Behavioral Health Clinic since March 2018. As a counselor, Marelise conducts assessment, counseling, and substance use education to adults. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with a person-centered focus.

Marelise has 4 years of experience as a Department of Defense Victim Advocate providing services to members of the U.S. Air Force who suffered sexual assault and is a current Credentialed Advocate. Counseling has always been a passion of hers and following a 20-year career in the Air Force she has been pursuing this passion working with adults suffering from chemical dependency.

Marelise's goal is to continue providing treatment and services to her clients. Her ultimate plan is to be dual-credentialed in chemical dependency and mental health so she can expand her care to individuals suffering from both chemical dependency mental health illness. ​
