In February 2011, Mary Hollinquest joined the staff at Sea Mar's Tacoma inpatient treatment center. In her current position, she works with men and women in addiction counseling.

Mary began her journey in the human services field in 2004. Her work experience includes providing outpatient treatment services for adults at All About Choices, Auburn, Wash. She also worked at Recovery Center of King County a detoxification facility, in Seattle, for 3 years) as a drug and alcohol counselor. Mary previously worked at Therapeutic Health Services, Chance to Change program providing co-occurring disorder treatment and community reintegration services for young adults (18-26) involved in the King County Drug Diversion Court.

Mary believes that recovery is a process and that every alcoholic or drug addict, with proper support, can achieve and maintain sobriety.

Mary spends her free time writing poetry and songs. She enjoys volunteering in her church, sings in the choir and is secretary for Sunday school. She also enjoys visiting patients in nursing homes and helping with volunteer work in her community.
