​ Rocio C. Herrera, M.A., LMFTA is a bilingual (native Spanish speaker) marriage and family therapist. She began working at Sea Mar's Mount Vernon school-based program in 2017 as a child and family therapist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Washington University in 2009, and a Masters in Psychology at Antioch University Seattle in 2017. In addition, she received her certification as Chemical Dependency Professional in 2013.

Her professional experience includes over two years of experience as a mental health case manager and a substance abuse counselor. She completed one year of internship at Catholic Community Services, and has over eight months of post-graduate experience at Sea Mar Behavioral Health. She has an extensive history of working with the Latino community, as both a therapist and a case manager in the areas of substance abuse, trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, and advocacy.

She enjoys spending time with her family. She loves taking her two boys to swim lessons and exploring new parks! She enjoys traveling to Mexico to reconnect with her roots and enjoys spending time by the beach under the bright sun.
