Dr. Kip Nielsen began practicing dentistry at Sea Mar's Des Moines Clinic in 2015. Before practicing at Sea Mar, Dr. Nielsen completed his undergraduate work in biology from Brigham Young University. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Nielsen has been actively involved in providing quality oral health care to domestic as well as internationally underserved populations. He has worked with various organizations such as: Give Kids A Smile, the UCSD Free Dental Clinics, 4th Street Clinic, Smiles for Central America, Bright Island Outreach, and Helping Hands.
Dr. Nielsen was a recipient of the National Health Service Corps scholarship. He is an active member of the Washington State Dental Association as well as the American Dental Association.
Dr. Nielsen is a Washington transplant that greatly appreciates the beauty and outdoor activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. He and his family enjoy spending their time camping, hiking, fishing, and being outdoors as much as possible. He also enjoys movies, attending musical concerts, and playing sports-especially baseball.
