About the Job

Our Payroll Department is seeking a Full-time Payroll Assistant II to join our team at our Seattle Office.  The Payroll Assistant II works under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor and performs advanced payroll duties.  Ideal candidate will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate enthusiastic and professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking while an integral part of the payroll team ensuring process flow and providing quality direction and assistance to clients and employees in a timely manner. The duties include but are not limited to:


  • Review and process of payroll data per each pay cycle.

  • Review payroll information for accuracy and completeness and process employee payroll benefits.

  • Develop expertise in the operation and management of the automated timekeeping system, the payroll and accounting applications, and any other systems used in the payroll department. 

  • Assist with the development and updates of both internal payroll processes and external user processes, develop necessary training materials, and provide training to payroll users.

  • Copies, collates, and distributes printed materials to appropriate parties.  Performs a variety of other clerical duties as requested.

  • Projects as required by Supervisor.


Required Qualifications

      ·       Associates degree or equivalent work experience. 

·       Past experience must include managing computer applications as related to payroll processing. 

·       Prior related experience in payroll required.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile, interpret, and utilize information; and to communicate effectively with people of all cultural backgrounds and educational levels and provide quality customer service.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgment, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality and prioritize workloads.

  • Must be well organized and have good attention to detail.

  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all interactions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products Excel, Word, ACCPAC and SAGE other payroll software with and 10-key skills, and be able to learn data entry into multiple enterprise applications.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
