Welcome to Sea Mar’s Turning Point Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center for Adults. We have been serving the Seattle community and people from throughout Washington state since 2015.

Turning Point is a 30-day, smoking, co-ed facility. The residential program focuses on Substance Use Disorder education with the use of groups, lectures, vocational enhancement, and practice with sober living skills. The prime example of care is the therapeutic community, which provides a highly structured recovery environment in combination with moderate to high-intensity professional clinical services to support and promote recovery.

At Turning Point we use a collaborative approach. We are client centered and flexible and create a strong alliance with our clients. We use 12-step theories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Living in Balance insight-oriented techniques. We also pull from other theoretical perspectives to enhance and sustain client motivation. Through the use of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, we address the whole person and provide a unique environment of openness and healing.

The staff at Turning Point has a thorough understanding of diversity and consists of various genders and ethnicities. We offer groups designed to provide education on mental health and have Mental Health Therapists on staff. Our individuals are welcome to have visitors during their stay with us. All friends and family are required to attend a Visitor’s Orientation with one of our counselors prior to their first visitation.

We understand that the distance from an individual’s home or community to Turning Point can be a challenge; if that is the case, we are able to provide transportation to and from the local bus and train station.

Sea Mar Turning Point treatment program is licensed by the State of Washington Department of Health, accredited by the Joint Commission, and certified by the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery.
