Education, Employment and Youth Services
In 2010-11, Sea Mar began providing education, employment and youth services in partnership with the City of Seattle, Everett Community College and Monroe School District. Services are offered by staff located at Sea Mar’s Cannon House in the Central District of Seattle, and a youth re-engagement program is provided at Everett Community College.
Youth Violence Prevention Initiative — Seattle
Funded by the City of Seattle, this program provides intensive case-management services to youth ages 12-17. Services target youth involved in the juvenile justice system, middle school students at risk of suspension, and those impacted by violence in the community.

Trained guidance counselors re-engage youth in education, help resolve court issues, and connect youth with resources such as drug/alcohol counseling, family counseling, health services, and housing support. Students also receive employment assistance, post-secondary exploration opportunities, and community service opportunities.
Youth Re-Engagement — Everett

The Youth Re-Engagement (U3) Program is a Washington State Open Doors Program that provides educational opportunities for youth ages 16-21. It is an alternative for students who are not finding success or satisfaction at, or who have already left, the traditional high school environment . This dual-credit program enables students to concurrently work toward a high school diploma and a college degree.

When students enroll in the U3 program, tuition, class fees, books and supplies are paid for. They receive intensive and holistic case management services, including tutoring, advising, career counseling, and use of all campus resources.
