American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist (ABPTS)
Dr. Akhila Krishnakumar began working at Sea Mar physical Therapy department in August 2021. Before practicing at Sea Mar, Dr Akhila completed her Board certified Geriatric Clinical specialist certification. She has had 4 years of experience working with elderly in a skilled nursing facility in Oregon.
Dr. Akhila recieved her transitional Doctor of physical therapy from Loma Linda University, California and completed her Masters in physical therapy in India. She is American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Accredited certified clinical instructor and enjoys mentoring physical therapy or nursing students during their clinical rotations.
Dr. Akhila also enjoys working on orthopedic conditions and served in multiple outpatient and acute rehab facilities in her career, evaluating and developing a treatment for rehabilitation of post operative surgical conditions, musculosketal injuries and chronic pain management.
Dr. Akhila has deep appreciation of aspects of Pacific North west and preaches benefits of outdoor activities.In her down time she enjoys hiking with her husband and singing with her Ukulele.
