Dr. Tyler Barreto has been at Sea Mar's Everett Medical Clinic since 2019. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Grinnell College and completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Barreto completed her family medicine residency training at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in 2016 followed by a Health Policy Fellowship at the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies and Georgetown University in 2017.

Dr. Barreto is a family physician and health services researcher. Her research work focuses on access to maternity care, safety in maternity care, and primary care and obstetric workforce. She has also done work in point of care ultrasound and obesity treatment. Dr. Barreto focuses on questions that improve patient care particularly in rural and underserved communities.

Dr. Barreto loves to spend time outside making the Pacific Northwest a great home. When she is not seeing patients, teaching residents, or conducting research, Dr. Barreto is outside enjoying the mountains, forests, oceans, and lakes. She enjoys travel, reading, and all things outdoors.
