Dr. William Andre Silva began practicing Urogynecology and Obstetrics/Gynecology at Sea Mar Mount Vernon Women's Clinic in 2018. Before practicing at Sea Mar, Dr. Silva completed his undergraduate work in physiology and then earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. He completed a five-year Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada and then a three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He has authored and co-authored numerous research studies in the field of urinary/bowel incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as book chapters and reviews. He has over 15 years of experience, including private practice for several years, servicing Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish counties.

He is an active member of the American Urogynecologic Society and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His medical areas of interest include non-surgical and minimally-invasive surgical treatments for urinary/fecal incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. In addition, he treats urogenital fistulas, bladder pain syndromes, and urethral/vaginal cysts.

Dr. Silva believes in being an advocate for underserved populations. He's been involved with the Filipino American Physicians of Washington organization; which arranges mission trips to the Philippines to serve the medical needs of poor communities.

In his personal time, he spends his evenings and weekends pursuing his fitness and health goals. He has competed in powerlifting competitions and enjoys working out in the gym, running and tennis. In addition to playing the guitar, piano and singing with his wife and children, he also sings for his local church choir. He is also involved in Filipino cultural dancing, often touring locally or Europe for performances.
