How to Get the Monkeypox Vaccine

There is currently a very limited availibility of Monkeypox Vaccines and we are only able to accomodate certain high risk groups based on WA Department of Health recommendations.

WA DOH Monkeypox Vaccine Eligibility Criteria as of 08/25/2022:
• People who have had sexual, close intimate contact or other high risk close contact with someone who has tested positive for monkeypox.

• Gay, bisexual, or other men or transgender people who have sex with men AND atleast one of the following:

o Black, Latino, Native Hawaiian, Other Pacific Islander, Asian, Indigenous, or American Indian/Alaska Native.
o Multiple or anonymous sex partners in the last 3 months.
o History of syphilis or gonorrhea in the prior year.
o Methamphetamine use in last 3 months.
o Attended a bathhouse, public sex venue or group sex (sex including at least 3 people at the same time) in last 3 months.
o Experiencing homelessness/unstable housing (including living in a shelther, car, or congregate setting; living with friends or relatives; couch surfing) in the last 3 months.
o Being incarcerated currently or in last 3 months.

• Sex workers of any sexual orientation or gender identity.

Health officials do not currently recommend vaccination for members of the general public who are not at high risk of recent exposure to monkeypox.
The eligibility criteria may evolve with changes in the outbreak and vaccine supply

Sea Mar has a very limited quantity of JYNNEOS monkeypox vaccines available at the following clinics.
Vaccines are available on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis.



We are working with our local health departments to get more vaccine for all Sea Mar medical clinics as soon as its available.
