Sea Mar is proud to offer a post-secondary education scholarship to the children of its employees. Sea Mar recognizes their parent(s)
or legal guardian(s) are the backbone of the services Sea Mar provides to the community, sometimes even using family time to support
Sea Mar's efforts.
Scholarship recipients receive a one-time award of $1,000 to be used towards educational expenses at community college, technical college,
universities, and trade or graduate school. Students are eligible for one Sea Mar Scholarship at the undergraduate level, and one Sea Mar
Scholarship at the graduate level.
- A person who has a parent or legal guardian who is a current part-time (0.5 FTE or above) or full-time Sea Mar employee*.
- Parent or legal guardian who has been employed at Sea Mar a minimum of one year by the scholarship deadline of April 15, 2026.
- Must be either a high school graduating senior, high school/GED graduate, or college graduate.
- Planning to enroll in at least 10 credits per quarter in an institute of higher education during the 2026 - 2027 academic year.
*Does not include on-call employees or AmeriCorps members.
January 1, 2026 and will close April 15, 2026
To apply, applicants must answer essay questions and provide a copy of their transcript on an online application form*.
