Amy Black began working as a Substance Use Disorder Professional at Sea Mar Monroe Behavioral Health Clinic in 2020. Before working at Sea Mar Amy spent 8 years in Snohomish County helping those struggling with addiction. Prior to working in the substance use field she worked as a kindergarten teacher.

Amy obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with an Early Childhood Studies Option in 2006 from California State University Hayward and then her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University Monterey Bay in 2008. Amy completed her addiction studies at Bellevue College.

Amy believes all clients deserve dignity and respect and comes from a client centered perspective.

In her spare time Amy enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her beloved Golden Retriever Louie.
