Ben Braaksma began practicing psychotherapy at Sea Mar Behavioral Health's Intensive Outpatient Program in August of 2016. Before coming to Sea Mar, Ben completed a 6 month practicum at Antioch University Seattle's counseling clinic and a year-long internship at Sound Mental Health in Bellevue, Washington. He received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from The Ohio State University in 2008 and his Master's degree in counseling in 2015.

Ben is a firm believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help people to heal, grow, and become more authentically connected to themselves and others. His approach to psychotherapy is Person-Centered, Attachment oriented, and Trauma informed.

In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, exercising, and playing guitar.
