Gary began his career as a Chemical Dependency Intern working with youth at Providence Addictions Recovery Center in Chehalis, WA starting in 1999. in 2001 he transferred to the Longview, WA branch where he continued to work with youth helping to develop the Cowlitz County Youth Services Drug Court program where he work as the lead counselor until 2002 during that time he completed his internship and became a CDP.

In 2002 Gary moved from Providence Addictions Recovery Center to CiviGenics Inc. working with Adults as a contractor with the Washington State Department of Corrections first as a Transition Specialist assisting with adults obtaining services with corrections. He was promoted to Program Manager in 2004 where he supervised and provided direct support for 6 sites and 12 counselors providing direct services to adults under the supervision of the Washington State Department of Corrections until 2017.

In 2017 Gary began working with Sea Mar CHC as a CDP and Clinical Supervisor where he currently works. Gary believes people can overcome addictions and obtain recovery changing their lives for the better with the support guidance and commitment that Sea Mar CHC strives to offer those who seek services with Sea Mar Community Health Center.
