Lulu Rivera has been a mental health provider for Sea Mar's Tacoma Behavioral Health Center since 2004. She provides individual therapy for adults and adolescents. Initially, Lulu assisted the substance abuse program in Tacoma, translating for groups.

Prior to earning a Master's degree in counseling psychology, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in social work at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. Lulu has been licensed in Washington state as mental health counselor since May 2009 and has been a mental health professional since 2005.

Lulu provides treatment in English and Spanish. She also qualifies as an ethnic minority mental health specialist, serving Latino populations.

Lulu facilitates psycho-educational and psycho-therapeutic support groups for adults. She has offered a domestic violence support group for Spanish-speaking women, and is currently seeking advanced training treating victims of domestic violence.

Lulu is committed to working with undeserved populations. Her goals are to earn a doctoral degree in counseling psychology and continue to provide quality treatment and care for all of her clients.
