Olivia Swanson started as a Child and Family Therapist at Sea Mar’s Bellevue Child and Family Behavioral Health Clinic in September of 2023. Olivia is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts in 2023.

Olivia has several years of experience working with children and adolescents in both school and community-based programs across Washington and Massachusetts. Olivia has previously provided in-home individual and family therapy to kids and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, suicidal ideation, PTSD, and a variety of other mental health challenges. In addition, Olivia is passionate about supporting and celebrating LGBTQ+ youth in their families, schools, and communities. She also believes in empowering youth and their families as they learn to better understand themselves and one another, explore skills to cope with life’s stressors, and gain effective strategies for communication. She uses a wide range of therapeutic interventions from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused family therapy. Olivia uses a trauma-informed approach and also enjoys incorporating mindfulness practices and expressive art therapies in her sessions as well.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys outdoor adventures, traveling, watching anime, or reading science fiction and fantasy books.
