Shannon received her Washington state license while pursuing her Associates Degree in Applied Science while attending Highline College in 2014.

Shannon joined the Sea Mar Turning Point team as SUD Clinical Supervisor in 2021. She began her career as a counselor at therapeutic health service's MAT program in 2013. In 2015 she was asked to head the PPW program for their Eastside location and in 2016 began providing outreach SUD treatment services with Lifewire and YWCA transitional housing programs. She joined Valley Cities as an SUD clinician in 2017 where she was promoted to SUD lead clinician for their Federal Way location in 2018. Shannon provides assessment, counseling and substance use education to adults utilizing motivational interviewing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused techniques, dialectical behavior therapy, and person-centered therapy.

Shannon has years' experience in community development, co-occurring treatment services, and chemical dependency. She is committed to providing trauma-informed, strength-based services to a diversified population and to underserved, high-risk community members that are using drugs and alcohol. Her career experience includes domestic violence advocacy, working with community members receiving methadone/suboxone, close collaboration with DCFS/CPS, case management, assessments, treatment plans, bed placements and referrals to access medical, social-cultural, educational and other services, and providing clinical supervision to SUDPT's.

Shannon has a passion for aiding addicted community members become successful. Her goal is to continue providing quality treatment and support where she serves. Her main objective is to help her community members become empowered through resources, support, and education.
