Tara Sedov started working with Sea Mar in January 2019 as a mental health therapist. Prior to joining the Sea Mar team, Tara earned her Masters of Social Work through the University of Southern California and worked in a different community mental health agency providing case management and therapy services. Currently she is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate (LSWAIC) in Washington State.

Tara's experience includes working with adults in an individual and group setting. Tara's approach is a person-centered, strengths based approached that emphasizes a partnership between the client and therapist. Depending on the needs of each individual, Tara draws from cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and problem solving therapy. Tara enjoys being able to provide support and help individuals learn coping skills that will help them throughout their lives and enjoys working with a variety of populations, she attends trainings and conferences to better support those populations, including the LGBTQ+ community.

Tara is originally from the Midwest and has spent some years living in the South, but is happy to call the PNW home now. In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.
