Laura Rice
Laura Rice - CNM

Laura Rice (Pronouns: she/her) is a Nurse Midwife who began working with Sea Mar in 2020. She started her work in women's health in 2007.
She trained as patient advocate, doula and then worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. She is passionate about people taking charge of their health, learning about their bodies and giving back power to her patients. She loves working with people from various cultural backgrounds and helping to incorporate cultural traditions into personal health.

She offers patient centered care for birth control, family planning, pap testing, STI screening and colposcopy. Laura is passionate about helping people with their pregnancy, postpartum and lactation experience. She attends deliveries at Legacy Salmon Creek Family birth center including water births.

Laura is a board Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Washington/Oregon state licensed Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), she is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Laura holds a Doctoral Degree from Baylor University in Nursing, a Bachelor's of Science in nursing from Linfield College and a Bachelor's of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Multnomah University.

Laura grew up in the South and loves to cook, garden, read, hangout with her dog and her partner Patrick. She loves music and being outdoors.
