We do accept paper applications. However, if you are accepted in the program you will need to submit an online application.

3.  What if I am not a U.S. Citizen? Can I still apply?
The AmeriCorps Program requires that all applicants have a social security number in order to run background checks. Unfortunately, without a social security number you cannot serve with this program.

Our member stipend is $12,500 total for the program year. This stipend does not qualify as income according to the Department of Social Services which allows members to apply for EBT cards, or food stamps. Also, it is important to note that AmeriCorps members receive health insurance at no cost to them through the program, and qualifying members receive childcare benefits.

10.  What is the Education Award and how can I spend it?
This is the amount awarded to each member at the completion of the program year. This amounts to $5,500, and is used to pay for further education at accredited institutions or to pay off student loans with accredited loan holders. For all the detailed answers, visit AmeriCorps.gov Ed Award FAQ page.

11.  Do you provide re-location assistance for people moving from out of state to do Community HealthCorps at Sea Mar?
We do not provide financial re-location assistance. Also, we encourage anyone considering relocating to fully research the cost of living in Seattle and the surrounding areas, including the necessity for personal transportation (car).
