Position Descriptions
We offer both direct and non-direct service positions. All of our positions are full-time (40 hours per week) and require an 11-month commitment.

Patient Navigator
The Patient Navigator will work on an inter-professional team of healthcare providers. Members will helpcoordinate access to the full spectrum of primary and prevention care available by providing application assistance, resource guidance and follow-up. Programatic facilitation of several other health education initiatives and programs promoting the healthy weight and nutrition of children and disease prevention in alduts. Navigators will also provide translation/interpretation services and coordinate the charity prescription drug assistance program as well as provide outreach and education on enrollment services.

Bilingual (English and Vietnamese, Cantonese, or Mandarin) required

Maternal Health Doula/Educator
This position serves as a maternal health Doula and Educator within our Maternity Support Services department at Sea Mar CHC. This position will provide pre- and post-labor education and support for clients who want additional support navigating the birthing experience. The members will also work alongside our Families Fuertes program to provide education on teen reproductive health and parenting. This position requires flexibility, sensitivity, a willingness to work independently and ability to handle a demanding on-call schedule. Members will receive Birth Skills Doula training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University in Seattle. This position requires the member to have prior maternal health experience and must be bilingual in English and Spanish, no exceptions. To learn more about the role of a doula, visit dona.org.

Located in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle, this position serves the Sea Mar Volunteer Program. The Coordinator conducts interviews, makes placements, oversees volunteer contracts, maintains placement sites, conducts volunteer appreciation, helps organize agency wide volunteer projects and seeks to expand the program. This position is well suited for someone interested in program management and seeing big-picture agency needs while learning about community and agency networking. There is no direct service component to this position (i.e. no patient/client contact).
