​ ​​​​ Samantha has been working for Sea Mar Behavioral Health in Puyallup since May 2018. She provides individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults as well as facilitates therapy groups.

Prior to earning a Master's degree, Samantha received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from University of Maryland 2004. After obtaining an internship with Multi Care Behavioral, Samantha started in 2017 working in a clinical child development fellowship in the Child and Family Center at Multi Care Behavioral in Puyallup. During her position there, she practiced play therapy, family therapy and Floortime child therapy. In addition, she helped develop social skills for children 4-17 years of age.

During her time with Multi Care Behavioral, she worked with individuals, couples and families focusing on depression, grief and loss, divorce and adjustment disorders. She also had the opportunity to work with juveniles addressing issues such as substance abuse, physical abuse and peer conflict striving to improve community mental health symptoms before transitioning to Sea Mar Behavioral Health. In November 2017, Samantha acquired her Washington State associates license in marriage and family therapy.

As a therapist, Samantha uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focus and Client Centered modalities to help individuals set obtainable goals using their resources and skills set to improve their overall mental health. Her goal is to continue helping others who wish to make changes in their lives for the better.​
